Description
Markus Gandler (* 1966 in Kitzbühel) is one of the most successful Austrian cross-country skiers of all times. Together with his team colleagues Alois Stadlober, Christian Hoffmann and Mikhail Botwinov, he was one of the "golden generation" of Austrian cross-country skiing in the late 1990s. He made his biggest successes with the season triumph (4 x 10 km) at the home World Championship 1999 in the Ramsau as well as with the Olympic silver medal in Nagano 1998 (10 km competition).
