About Kitzbühel Tourism
Kitzbühel Tourism is one of 34 tourism associations in Tyrol and operates as a public-law body. The association was established by order of the provincial government and is responsible for key tasks relating to regional tourism development and promotion.
The remit of a tourism association
The tasks of a tourism association include, in particular, strategic tourism planning for the association’s catchment area, tourism marketing, enhancing the region’s infrastructure to make it more attractive, as well as supporting members in creating a range of services tailored to market needs, guest services and event management. Each tourism association has an administrative office set up for these purposes and to provide support to guests and members.
The governing bodies of a tourism association are the General Assembly, the Supervisory Board and the Executive Board. Each tourism association also has a management team, which is responsible, amongst other things, for running the office and implementing tourism marketing measures. Membership of a tourism association is open to all businesses that have their registered office or a place of business within the association’s area and derive a direct or indirect economic benefit from tourism in Tyrol.
The tourism associations are subject to the supervision of the provincial government.
