244 | Naring - Karalm
The starting point of the tour is the information office in Kössen. First drive to the roundabout and take the second exit. Follow the Mühlbachweg through the subway and over the Staffen bridge. Turn right in the direction of Staffen and at the car park turn right onto the steeply ascending forest road. The route now runs in serpentine lines through the forest and with a moderate ascent over alpine pastureland to the Naringalm. The next 2 km are downhill to the Notheggeralm. Here you have the option of turning right and following the path, which again climbs steeply, across beautiful alpine pastures to the Karalm. Or turn left and continue with a moderately steep ascent to the Edernalm or to the Ottenalm junction.
First variable with showers, becoming drier and brighter in the afternoon.
Dry and sunny throughout the day with hardly any clouds.
