Competitions

With the Elite European Cup, Kitzbühel becomes a stage for elite international athletes. Europe’s top triathletes compete on a challenging course, delivering top-class sport of the highest standard. Precision, pace and tactical skill characterise this event, making it a sporting highlight of Kitzbühel’s summer calendar.

The big stage for young triathletes is set once again in Kitzbühel. At this junior event, the stars of tomorrow will experience the real World Cup atmosphere – complete with a blue carpet and a special ambience around the Schwarzsee. The Kitz Tri Games form part of both the ÖTRV Super Sprint Junior Cup and the ASVÖ EUREGIO Zug Children’s Triathlon. In addition, the Austrian Championships will be held this year from the C-JUN category upwards.

The Sprint Triathlon offers an appealing race format for experienced athletes as well as newcomers, those switching sports and those returning to the sport. After a 750-metre swim in Schwarzsee, the 18-kilometre cycling route is divided into six 3-kilometre laps. The climb up to Seebichl is a defining feature of the race, creating sporting excitement and a special atmosphere along the route. The event concludes with a 5 km run along the lake – two large laps and one smaller one.

The Gamsstadt Relay Triathlon offers companies the perfect opportunity to get active together. In the corporate triathlon, colleagues share the swimming, cycling and running disciplines and experience the triathlon together as a team. The event combines sporting challenge with team spirit, making the Kitzbühel Triathlon an attractive option for companies and work colleagues alike.
