250 | Maukalm - Tröglgraben
The tour starts in Kirchdorf/Gasteig. First follow the gravel road to the small barbecue area at Luigambach. Keep to the right here and follow the Maukalmweg. The narrow, steeply ascending forest road requires some strength and stamina. At the Steinberg-Tröglgraben junction, you have the option of shortening the tour and returning to the valley via the Tröglgraben. Those who are willing to put in a little more effort cycle the switchbacks to the Maukalm and are rewarded with a fantastic view: the alp lies directly below the Maukspitze and it seems that the Wilder Kaiser is within reach. The descent winds in serpentines over the Tröglgraben into the Kaiserbachtal valley. Via Griesenau you return to the starting point. The tour can also be done in the opposite direction.
